The 2015 Heritage Touring Cars series has wrapped up in Victoria after an exciting weekend’s racing at Historic Sandown.
Carey McMahon finished the year at the top of the tables in Group A after qualifying fastest in his Nissan GT-R and going on to complete a clean sweep of the weekend’s three races.
Terry Lawlor had a strong weekend in the ex-Colin Bond Caltex Sierra, ultimately finishing second in the series, throughout which he also spent some time behind the wheel of ‘Godzilla’, his 1991 Nissan Skyline R32 GTR. David Paterson and his Toyota Corolla Sprinter complete the top three.
In Group C standings, a consistent year saw Chris Bowden comfortably steer Ecurie Bowden’s Mazda RX-7 to the top spot.
Greg Keam completed the year in second place in his Ford Escort RS2000, and Edward Singleton piloted ‘Elvis’, the STP #6 VH Commodore, to third.
