Sydney Retro Racefest is heading to your TVs, YouTube and Facebook starting from Monday the 11th of July.
The Heritage Touring Cars series took to Sydney Motorsport Park over the 11th and 12th of June for Round 3 of 2016’s competition, putting on a magic display of motorsport at Sydney Retro Racefest.
The Heritage Touring Cars series headed to Sydney Motorsport Park over the Queen’s Birthday long weekend, to contest round three of our 2016 series at Sydney Retro Racefest. Thanks to Brent Murray and Seth Reinhardt, we’re back with photos!
The Queen’s birthday long weekend on June 11-12 sees a big field of genuine Group C & Group A Touring Cars racing at Eastern Creek’s Sydney Motorsport Park. With a record grid of 30 cars entered, all vying for points in the Championship, racing will be fast and close and lap records are expected to be under threat.
Over the weekend of the 30th of April to the 1st of May, 2016, a magnificent Heritage Touring Cars field rolled in to Morgan Park to contest Round 2 of the 2016 series.
Next weekend will see a full field of genuine Group C & Group A Touring Cars racing for class & outright honours in Round 2 of the 2016 Heritage Touring Cars Championship, the only Queensland appearance for these cars in 2016.
And that’s a wrap! Round 1 of the Heritage Touring Cars series took place over 11th to 13th of March as part of the immense 2016 Phillip Island Classic, and saw some awe inspiring racing take place.
Joining the record Heritage Touring Cars grid at the Phillip Island Classic will be the freshly restored 1990 Benson & Hedges Ford Sierra RS500 of Carey McMahon.
Joining that grid will be the Group C JPS BMW 635 Coupe that touring car legend and Phillip Island Classic event patron Jim Richards will be piloting over the weekend.
